To meet the specific needs of each student and nurture the maximum development, we offer several therapies, either individual or in small groups, as music therapy, singing therapy, art therapy, eurythmy, massage, body work, chirophonetics, form drawing, neurofunctional reorganization, crafts and doll sewing.
These therapies are separated into centers:
Music lessons in which we work concentration through establishing a group rhythm assisted by body percussion and musical instruments, singing as a major facilitator of a more humane social development path and the use of percussion and melodic instruments which aim to the development of listening, psychomotor skills, the perception of the other and the individual responsibility of awakening. Besides the singing activities, there are small music therapy groups, in which the emphasis is the rescue of health aspects of participants. The results are very satisfactory and further development takes place in the perception of the other and of the entire group.
Providing History of Art lessons and also small groups of Art Therapy. Through the History of Art, participants can recapitulate the path of human development, reviving through art-making their own individual path. In the art therapy group there is the intention of increasing the potential of expression through the form drawing, watercolor painting, clay modeling, drawing in charcoal, chalk drawing, crayons, which seeks greater harmony in the feeling realm. In this artistic center is observed most significant advances, in which the creative gesture appears more clearly, also as a result of the work of other centers.
Eurythmy has great therapeutic benefits, harmonizing, as well as providing a greater awareness of the movements and bringing grace and lightness to the gestures. It also allows concentration and body flexibility. Theater games lessons, breathing and tai chi chuan, prime for a greater grip of their own body, providing physical and mental flexibility, the domain of spatial relationships, the temporal organization and, especially stimulate social interaction.
Artistic Workshops Center
There are three modes: watercolor painting, modeling and mosaic creation. It helps to develop the aesthetic sense, provides the experience of beauty and artistic elements as food for the soul, these are the objectives of these workshops. The personal fulfillment of each member of this center is a triggering factor of improved self- esteem and value as an active human being in the world.
Embroidery activities, macramê, sewing and doll making. The main objective is the exercise of fine motor skills and concentration. The making of dolls also assists in the development and awareness of body structure. The once attended in this center, in addition to the progress in the area of motor coordination, they successfully exercise increased capacity for mutual aid.
Body Therapies Center
They are offered individually: Chirophonetics, Body Massage and Neurofunctional Reorganization.
*The Chirophonetics is the use of hands of the therapist leaping on the back, arms or legs in representative forms of oral airflow of different phonemes, being effective in speech disorders.
*The Body Massage is applied to meet with hardened corporeality, providing trust, willingness to contact and relief of stress.
*The Neurofunctional Reorganization focuses on the development of the neurosensory system, which rebuilding the path of motor skills development and rescuing what has not been achieved yet. The results of this section are predominantly individualized and taking part of every personal process. The objective is to offer a therapeutic treatment from a diagnosis and observe processes, evaluating them after 6 to 12 months.
Knowledge classes regard the human being and the world; teaching is offered in blocks, covering content such as Anthropology, Zoology, Botany, and Geography. The basic objective is to encourage and maintain interest, bringing the knowledge of the human organization and construction of the world. It is the opportunity to have a continuing education. The results are surprising and show us that people with special needs can assimilate any knowledge presented with an appropriate methodology. There is interest, involvement, group integration, acquisition of skills and knowledge.
